Data protection and confidentiality

Data protection and confidentiality are core principles on Yumi42. Customers should feel safe and coaches should have a clear framework for handling data and session content.

1. Confidentiality between coach and customer

  • Session content is confidential.

  • You treat all coaching information discreetly and do not share it with third parties.

  • Customers must be able to trust that personal topics are not used or disclosed outside the coaching relationship.

2. Secure on-platform communication

  • Communication should happen primarily through Yumi42 chat.

  • The chat is encrypted in transit and protected according to industry standards.

  • Yumi42 does not routinely access chat content. In rare cases access is technically possible and only used for clearly defined reasons for example to investigate abuse security incidents or when required by law as described in our privacy policy.

  • Chats are activated with a booking and deactivated after the collaboration ends.

3. Video sessions and recordings

  • Sessions take place via Yumi42’s integrated video system (for example Google Meet).

  • There is no automatic video recording.

  • You may record session content only if all involved people explicitly consent beforehand.

  • Without consent, any private recording or sharing is prohibited.

4. Optional transcription and summaries

Yumi42 may provide optional session documentation features (for example audio transcription or summaries).

  • These features are optional and only used if they are actively enabled for the specific session.

  • All required legal consents must be in place.

  • Without consent, no recordings or AI-based documentation may be created.

5. Handling sensitive data

  • Do not share sensitive payment or verification data via chat or video (such as ID documents or bank details).

  • Identity and bank data are handled only through Stripe as part of the KYC process.

  • Ensure customers also avoid posting such data in chat.

6. Data processing and responsibility

  • Yumi42 provides the technical infrastructure and processes data according to the privacy policy.

  • You remain responsible for your session content and for complying with data-protection requirements in your country.

  • Keep your profile and billing data correct and up to date.

7. Data deletion after account deletion

  • When you delete your account, personal data is removed unless legal retention duties apply.

  • Data that must be retained by law (for example invoices or transaction records) is deleted after the legal period ends.

Coaching content is confidential. Communication takes place through secure Yumi42 chat. Yumi42 does not routinely access chat content and may only do so in clearly defined exceptional cases as described in our privacy policy. Recordings require explicit consent and video is not recorded automatically. Optional transcription is allowed only when enabled and consented to. Sensitive data belongs in Stripe not in chat or sessions.
