Rescheduling, cancelling and rebooking sessions

Updated over 4 months ago

Plans change sometimes. On Yumi42 you can reschedule or cancel appointments without creating confusion. The key is to handle everything through the platform so calendars, session links and notifications stay in sync.

Where to manage appointments

You can find all bookings in your dashboard under “Bookings”:

  • Upcoming: upcoming sessions

  • History: past sessions

  • Cancelled: cancelled sessions

Open the relevant booking to reschedule or cancel it.

Rescheduling a session

How it works:

  1. open the booking in your dashboard

  2. click “Reschedule”

  3. pick a new free slot from your availability

  4. confirm your proposed time

What happens next:

  • the customer receives an email with your new proposed time

  • the session is only rescheduled once the customer agrees

  • if the customer cannot make your proposed time, they can choose another free slot from your availability on their own

  • once the customer confirms, the booking is updated in Yumi42

  • connected calendars are updated or re-added automatically

  • the booking always shows the current session link

If you do not see suitable slots, check your availability first.

Cancelling a session

How it works:

  1. open the booking in your dashboard

  2. click “Cancel booking”

  3. confirm

Afterwards:

  • the customer is informed by email immediately

  • the booking is marked as “Cancelled”

  • the slot becomes free again if you want to offer it

Important notes

  • Reschedule or cancel as early as possible. It is respectful to customers and protects your reliability.

  • Do not reschedule or cancel via email or an external calendar. Only Yumi42 keeps the status clear for both sides.

  • Rules for last-minute cancellations and no-shows are covered in the separate article “No-shows and last-minute cancellations”.

In short

Always manage appointments in your Yumi42 dashboard. Rescheduling requires customer confirmation or a new slot they pick from your availability. Changes sync calendars and notifications automatically.
